The Look

Okay, so if my memory serves me correctly, every time I've looked at my mommy and daddy with those sad, puppy-dog eyes, they've given me tons of hugs and a treat.  So with that information and much practice,  I believe that I've just about perfected "The Look."  Hey, mommy and daddy, look at me....Hmm, if only I knew how to stick out my bottom lip (if that's even possible) and pout.  That would definitely deserve a treat.  A big treat, like frozen yogurt or peanut butter!  Yum!

Let Freedom Ring!

Woohoo!  I am free!  I was let out due to a technicality:  mommy said daddy should have known better than to leave the doggie gate open to the upstairs floor.  Finally, vindication!  And what was daddy's punishment, you ask?  Well, he had to take me to the park and let me run around and chase the ball as much as I wanted!  Smell that fresh air.  Listen to the birds singing.  Feel that cool autumn breeze.  Yeah, freedom at last!  Woof woof!

CSI: Long Beach

A property crime was committed today 3.13 PM in Long Beach, CA.  Evidence of the crime was left at the premises.

The person of interest (or dog of interest, in this case) is Bailey.

Clearly the evidence points directly to Bailey as there are no further suspects and he has no alibi.  The punishment for this crime:  jail time with no possibility for parole (or in other words, time behind bars until dinner time).
Bailey's last words before sentencing..."It' not my fault.  Daddy left me home alone for a half hour and those Hello Kitty flip-flops were just screaming for me to chew them up!  Mommy and daddy know I can't resist flip-flops!  They didn't shut the doggie door so I didn't think they would mind if I wandered around the bedrooms unsupervised.  I was framed, I tell you.  Framed!"

The Sock

I was sleeping and snoring away in my bed when mommy came over to check on me.  As she was petting me, I heard her say, "Oh no!"  Within seconds, she was breaking out the cotton balls and the bottle of hydrogen peroxide.  Before I knew it, I had a sock on my back foot.   Come on mommy....must you be so over-protective?  So maybe I was a bit overzealous and rowdy at school playing with my buddies in the yard.  Boo-boos happen sometimes.  But do you need to break out the sock again?  Ugh.

My Brother From Another Mother: Bubba

Went to the park this afternoon and guess who we ran into... my old friend, Bubba!  Yet another friend named Bubba.  And look at us...we look very similar!.  We ran and ran all over the park chasing after each other and playing tag.  Fun times.  Then after the park, daddy took me to Starbucks.  The barista came outside to say hi and play with me.  And I even got a doggie cookie!  Yippee.  Love the park.  Love Starbucks.  Woof woof!

Just Another Day at the Beach

Doggie beach rules!  Daddy threw the tennis ball out pretty far this time so I got some major swimming in today.  He also tossed the ball in the air for me to play catch. Oh how I love playing catch!   Met up with my buddies Jake and Elwood again and we splashed around and swam in the ocean together.  Met some new friends, Sunshine and Denali, two cute Golden Retrievers.  Look at them swimming together!.  Then I met  Tootsie and Bubba.  They ran all over doggie beach playing and having a good time with each other. Aren't they cuties!  I have to say, if you have the opportunity or the vacation time, I highly suggest hitting the West coast to soak up some sun and catch a few waves.  It's the best!  Woof woof!

P.S.  All that swimming makes a doggie super-tired. I slept the whole way home!
