Reunited!

Hooray!  Mr. Porcupine survived his surgery and is doing well.  Yippee...my best friend in the whole world is back!  Thanks, mommy.  My afternoon naps have not been the same without him.  Daddy said I need to play carefully with him as his sutures still need time to heal.  But all I know it that all is well in the world tonight.  I love you Mr. Porcupine!  Woof woof!

Sunny Sunday Afternoon

Just another Sunday afternoon romp in the park with daddy.  And my friend Shadow, the Golden Retriever, was there playing with her daddy.  Oh how I love Sundays!  Woohoo!   Happy Sunday, everyone!  Woof woof!

Thinking of Mr. P

To help ease my anxiety and take my mind off of Mr. Porcupine and his current trauma, daddy took me to the park for a walk and to play with my tennis ball.  I may look happy on the outside, but on the inside I am very sad.  I just hope Mr. P will be okay…

Emergency! Emergency!

Someone call a doctor!!!  Mr. Porcupine has broken a seam!  Help!  Help!  My best buddy is in danger.   I don't want his stuffing to fall out!!  He needs surgery immediately!  Mommy and daddy....call 911 !!

Bath Time!

Rub-a-dub-dub...Bailey's in the tub!  After breakfast, guess where we went?  Doggie beach!  Woohoo!  Had a super-great time swimming and splashing in the waves.  Then mommy said that I had to have a bath after beach time.  Ugh...I don't like baths.  I repeat...I don't like baths.  But mommy said that I HAD to.  So here we are at the Tidy Dog salon getting my oatmeal bath.  But the best part of getting a bath, is when mommy rubs me down with the towel.  It feels good!  Feels like a back scratch or a belly rub all over!  I guess bath time isn't so bad after all.  Woof woof!

Tête à tête avec Papa

Went to Chuck's Cafe for breakfast this morning with mommy and daddy...here I am having a staring contest with daddy.  I bet he'll blink his eyes before I do!  Woof woof!

Starbucks Rendez-vous

After daddy's bike ride, mommy and I got in the Bailey-mobile and hopped over to Starbucks to meet up with daddy.  And I made yet another friend.  His name is Pete and he's a Australian Shepherd/Poodle mix.  Isn't his hair fun and fluffy?  I love making new friends! Woof woof!

Party In The Park

Daddy took me to the park again today!  Yippee!  Oh boy, I love the park.  And guess who was also there?  My buddies:  Darla (Boston Terrier), Shadow (Golden Retriever) and Rambo (English Bulldog).  Woohoo!  Party in the park!!  We had a fun time frolicking around with each other.  Can't wait to head to the park again and see what surprises are in store for me!  Woof woof!

My Daddy is the Best!

Daddy, I love you for all that you do.
I'll kiss you, lick you and hug you
Because you love me too!

You feed me and need me to chase the ball and play.
So smile because I love you each and every day!

Blessing of the Animals

Yesterday, I attended the Long Beach Interfaith Blessing of the Animals.  This year, it was located at the beach at sunset.  Every year, members of the clergy gather to bless all the animals with olive branches and holy water.
There were all sort of animals at the event:  sheep, goats, chickens. rabbits, horses and even an alpaca.  And of course there were kitties and lots of doggies there.  Check out the alpaca.  His name is Peanut.
Here I am with daddy as we walk the red carpet for the blessing.
There were clergy members from many different churches and religions.
Look!  It's me waiting for my turn to be blessed!
Finally!  Made it to the front of the line!  Here I am being blessed by two priests.
What a fun day!

Seal Beach Wag 'n' Walk

Went to Seal Beach today to attend the annual Wag 'n' Walk event.  Here doggies and their mommies and daddies can enjoy a walk together around downtown Seal Beach to raise money for the Seal Beach Animal Care Center.  I can't think of a better way to help homeless animals enjoy a better life than to help raise a bit of money and awareness for pet in animal shelters.

After the event, I got hungry.  I had to find FOOD!  On our way to find food, we bumped into this cute Basset Hound.  I didn't get his name, but what a cutie.  The usual pleasantries were exchanged.  He smelled me, I smelled him.  All was good.
As we continued on our journey to find food, we finally came to a place called The Crema Cafe.  At last - FOOD!  Yippee!
Mommy had the Chinese Chicken Salad and a bottle of Rieme sparkling lemonade  Looks yummy, right?
Daddy had the Breakfast Burrito with eggs, bacon (yum!) and potatoes and a bottle of Rieme sparkling lemonade as well.  I could definitely eat that burrito!

And what did I have, you ask?  NOTHING!  Well, daddy did give me some snacks from my treat bag that they usually bring along.  But again....NOTHING!  So I just slept while they enjoyed their FOOD!  Again, not fair!
